aim2 - psychotherapy and counselling issues

It may be that you are not sure what's happening, other than a general underlying and persistent feeling that something is not right - with life, with you.  Perhaps you have some concept of, or insight into, what your problem is - this may be a visible symptom like overeating, or another failed relationship.  You may be suffering from stress and/or anxiety, and it seems impossible to ever recover your life to something "normal" and start to feel relaxed and calm again.  For some there is a sense that the life they're living is a lie and they want to regain their old self once more.  It is even possible for low moods to manifest through a range of physical symptoms and you will need to consult with your GP before entering psychotherapy and counselling.  Often the presenting symptoms and issues are effects of much deeper causes and contributing factors - psychotherapy and counselling can help to uncover these deeper issues and thereby allow the client to heal.
